Swim Time

Luke loves the water as long as I am near. He keeps telling us that he can't swim-so true. We don't want him to think that he can swim when he can't so he doesn't jump in the water without us first being in.
Austin, on the other hand is our little fish. He could swim for hours and hours. He gets sad when we can't go to grandma's house and swim. He loves the water and is quite good at swimming and holding his breath for a long time-just like Nate. They amaze me at how long they can hold their breath under water. And of course, Austin HAS to have goggles. He can't swim without them because he spends most of the time under the water.
He even loves going off the diving board. No real brave moves yet, but he is an Anderson and I am sure that soon enough he will be doing crazy stunts off the diving board and rocks.
Luke and Autin went to Austin's t-ball year end swim party and had a blast. Luke had the most fun shooting everyone within reach with his water gun.

Happy Late Birthday, Austin

HAPPY LATE BIRTHDAY TO AUSTIN.....

I can't believe my baby boy is 6!! I am freaking out about it a little. I kept telling him that we were just going to skip his birthday so he could stay 5 and quite getting bigger, but it came and went and he loves being 6. He is one of the last of his friends to turn 6 so getting older for him is a big deal. He told me he has to keep getting older so he can turn 8 and get baptised and then turn 19 so he can go on a mission. He is too smart for me.
He really wanted a soccer player cake and Aimee and I looked everywhere for soccer dudes to make his cake with. Just when I thought all was lost we were driving home (a different route than ever before) and we passed by a little party store that had just the right thing for decorating a soccer player cake. Austin was so happy. I did feel bad that we didn't get to break open his soccer pinata but the fireworks made up for it.
Austin kept asking all evening if it was time for fireworks or not. We had to remind him that it has to be dark for it to be really cool and in Utah it doesn't get dark forever. Poor guy had to wait till 9:30 or so to finally get to see his birthday fireworks. Thanks to cousin Brady for helping out.

Of course, the love to watch the fireworks but they hate the loud noises they make, it scares them for some reason. I have to admit, I hate really loud noises too, so I must have passed that on to both of my boys. Can you tell?
My darling, sweet Austin is getting bigger and bigger. I can't stand it. He sure is a joy to have in our family though. I couldn't have asked for a better oldest child to lead the rest of the siblings in the right path. He isn't ever a problem and is the sweetest kid around. He never fails to take care of me when I need him to and has really stepped it up with this sensitive pregnancy in helping around the house and just making sure I feel okay. I mostly love his cuddles and hugs. They are worth more than gold.

Bend trip

I had a meeting with some government officials in Bend last weekend. I don't normally take my family on business trips, but I did this time and it was a blast! We rented a boat on the way back and the kids had the best time! Here are some pics...
